This is not just a car ad. It is a time capsule. The Fairlane GT is being sold as a loaded, adult-performance machine — buckets, console shift, GT paint stripes, special hood louvers, and a 390 cubic-inch V-8.

“Big gun for tiger country, Fairlane GT!”

That line is exactly the factory swagger Farrah has: muscular, but not cartoonish. Confident, but not desperate. This is the same restrained magic that makes the 1966 Fairlane shape work so well.

The extra joke is where it was found: a February 1966 Playboy issue, sitting beside a serious Fellini interview. That pretty much says the quiet part out loud — the culture was not as prudish as people pretend.
